For what it’s worth, I know Margaret from our dealings in the Mobile
industry.
If she’s involved, then it’s likely to be an interesting event.
Best regards,
Craig

Subject: [entrepreneur-1056] Wealth of Networks event – March 24th
I may be nuts to mention
another event amongst all of the conversation that’s been taking place on the
list lately, but I thought that many of you may find it of interest (and it’s
free!), so I do want to get it on your radars:
Help shape the
Next-generation Internet!
Wealth of Networks is a one-day forum
bringing researchers and industry together in conversation with the public to
chart the direction of research for the Next-generation Internet in the UK. We
will be discussing the recommendations from the first Wealth of Networks event
which took place last July (Check out the 2008 blog for all of the details of last year’s
event).
The aim of the forum
is to give the general public an opportunity to shape the recommendations about
the future of the Internet that will be presented to UK research funding
councils in April. The event will consist of panellists from academia and
industry, including Dame Prof. Wendy Hall of Southampton University, and Prof.
John Domingue of the Knowledge Media Institute.
Attendance is free,
but pre-registration is required, and places are limited to 200. So don’t wait
to register!
Follow us on twitter:
http://twitter.com/wealthofnetwork for all of the
updates on agenda, speakers and panellists, or check out the 2009 event blog at
http://wealthofnetworks2.wordpress.com/
We’re looking forward
to seeing you there!
