Bill, et al.
I've been to these events before and no, it's not women only. They really are very well run and often have superb speakers. The first event I attended had speakers that I found to be some of the most inspirational and innovative people I've ever had the pleasure to listen to. Second only to Richard Branson; who really must be witnessed first hand if you want to understand why certain people are successful.
Dear Jackie
Is the event on 25 March women only?
Thanks
Bill

Social entrepreneurs are certainly making a lot of waves at the moment – everyone from Jeff Skoll to Bill Gates is starting or funding businesses with a mission. The message is that you can have a social mission and still make lots of money and more and more of the leading entrepreneurs are taking this route
FreshIdeas Events are discussing this at our next event in central London on Wed evening 25th March. This presents an excellent opportunity to join successful UK entrepreneurs and find out about the opportunities and people in this growth area.
Leading entrepreneurs will offer insights from their own experiences as to what it takes to grow a successful business with a social mission and the programme will include talks on social business models, getting finance for your venture and the value of branding and marketing the social aspect of a business to an increasingly money-conscious consumer. Speakers and topics include:
Karen Darby, founder of the online comparison service, SimplySwitch which created 100s of jobs in one of the most deprived areas in the UK and sold for £22m. Karen is now working on Call Britannia her next big venture, she is on a mission to create 10,000 jobs in the UK and will discuss starting a business with a social mission, building a team and raising finance.
Chris Arnold, former creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi & author of forthcoming "Ethical Marketing and the New Consumer" – on understanding the consumer interest in ethical and social brands and the effect of the recession on this.
Bridges Ventures – a Venture Capital company with a social mission – on attracting finance for your business or idea.
The event is followed by a networking session and a chance to meet and discuss your business with exhibitors.
