Just a few words - I am a firm believer in mentoring.
I think we all have had a range of experiences and too often recruitment
people are hard target-driven sales people. They are not in business to help
you so you have to learn how to manage them or they could ruin your career.
The stories (often true) of your boss getting a copy of your CV ......
abound. I have had calls offering me magnificent salaries at 1/4 of what I
was used to earning! Once bitten by sharp business practices both inside and
outside your employer, you should have a wealth of acumen to offer start-up
businesses in addition to newbie professionals. Mentoring services are more
than just about business finance, they are about how to deal with people to
get the best out of them. If they have nothing good to offer, then steer
well clear.
