Depends on your target. We have just over 55,000 desktop users at my firm.
All on windows. No way Macs or Linux could support their needs.

Most but certainly not all of them. Disregarding the large corporations, who buy Windows PCs by the hundreds or thousands at a time and distort the statistics, Apple has a 25% market share among SMBs and consumers. .Net is basically Windows-only (unless you’re a real Mono enthusiast). Are you really willing to say bye-bye to 1/4 of the market?
