Register your trademark through OHIM - this is a European body.  For the

(more or less) same cost of filing a UK registration, you get coverage in

the whole of Europe as well as UK.  You can do it on line.  Don't let an IP

lawyer charge you a fortune for this, it is not necessary - from memory it

is no more than £250 - just visit the site, and follow the instructions -

read info first, conduct your searches, select a category to file under and

away you go.
