I do agree: 10 times is probably enough...

Business Angels are highly selective, but they are usually quicker than

VC/investment funds...

They have the merit of assuming the first risk, therefore they need this

kind of high return as mentioned by Brian.

If you imagine Angel Investing is (by necessity) highly risky, and

therefore the investors will want to compensate for the minimum 5 – 10

failures for each successful investment they make. They’ll look for 10

to 30 times a return on their investment over a 5 year period.

You will not find a directory of angel investors; a majority of whom are

private and don’t want huge numbers of business plans in their inbox.

There is however a good directory of angel networks available at

www.bbaa.org.uk <http://www.bbaa.o...; . These networks act as

gatekeepers to their angel members.
The BVCA - http://www.bvca.c... is the place to go for a directory of

venture capital and private equity houses.

Interesting question on funding - I have a follow up question actually

but in the same space. 
Does anyone know of ONE PLACE where you can find details of the various

business angels / private equity firms / potential investors that exist?
It strikes me that there are a number of people with ideas on this group

- but not as many people that are looking for ideas to invest in and I

think it would be incredibly useful to know how to contact these

investors...
