I am looking to appraise the potential financing of an MBO deal via venture capital against an alternative course of action of starting up something new.

Very keen on getting access to the fundamentals of VC deals to make sure the appraisal is correct.

Does anyone have any guidance on aspects like expected annual return of financing, is a CAPM or IRR model adopted by VCs, any friendly VCs you suggest I contact in London etc. any great sites or research sources I could get to?

I am attempting to put a rough financial model together to justify talking to some professionals – any of your help in this matter would be most appreciated!
