I can second that. When I started Lunar Logic Polska, for a few years
we were the only Rails development company in Poland. In the past few
years, some very worthy competitors have made the competitive
landscape much more interesting. Most notably, Applicake and
CodeSprinters, both of whom do a very good job of keeping me on my
toes. I started a non-profit last year (www.itsba.pl) to share best
practices among the new generation of software startups in Krakow so
that we could continue to build the city as a center of excellence for
offshore web application development. I'd love it if everyone sent
their business to me, but if you don't, please consider Krakow.
There's a whole lot of great talent here.
